Home Cooked music

It is reassuring to see that folk music is seeing some love again after so many years.  I haven't seen the new Bob Dylan movie yet, but I've heard good things about it.

They say music always occurs in cycles, so I suppose it's time for folk music to take center stage again.

It appears that people are looking for something real again in music.  Is it that we're tired of fast food music or can't afford the gourmet stuff?   Or is it just true that sometimes good old fashioned homestyle cooking is the best?

Music is food for the soul.

Are we feeding our soul McDonald's?  Ruth's Chris? Mom's Spaghetti? Hot Pockets?

What we feed our soul matters, so pick only the best.  Don't be afraid to try new types of food (music), from other parts of the world or from history.

Dining simply on American food would be a boring diet..

Don't be afraid to branch out and try new music.

I wasn't too excited about sushi the first time I tried it, but now I love it.  Acquiring a taste for music may take time as well, so don't make judgments based on first impressions.

The songs we listen to and the movies/shows we watch really do shape our consciousness.  Music and other media can be useful tools for brain development and gaining knowledge.. so choose wisely.
